The world of Pop Art and shopping bags merged in 1964
when artist Roy Lichtenstein designed a bag for “The American Supermarket”, an exhibit in New York City’s Bianchini Gallery.
The bags were sold during the exhibition for $12.00. This signed “Turkey” bag was acquired on Thanksgiving Day in 2003.
