Broadway Ninety
Bloomingdale's was the retail leader in the movement to redefine the shopping bag for the late 20th century. Al Hirschfeld created this bag for Bloomingdale's depicting Broadway's Carol Channing, Tommy Tune, Chita Rivera, Liliane Montevecchi, and Debbie Allen, each of whom starred in productions in 1990. The back of the bag is called "Standing Ovation". As was his custom, NINA, his daughter's name, can be found in the drawing.
