National Cherry Blossom Festival
The Museum of Bags co-founder, Lee Forman, designed the official bag for the April 2002 National Cherry Blossom Festival. The translucent bag was featured in one of the windows of the old Woodward & Lothrop department store in downtown Washington, D.C.. The festival, which began in 1912, commemorates the gift of 3,000 cherry trees from the Mayor of Tokyo to the city of Washington.
